Walt Jabsco...The Return
The album 'The Return Of Walt Jabsco' is almost complete and is scheduled for early november release as a digital download on Walt Jabsco Recordings.All bands and artist have donated their tracks free and the album features many diverse styles and takes on the 2 Tone sound.The album also features artwork by John 'Teflon' Sims the artist responsible for most of the iconic designs for the label.In its short time 2Tone promoted racial unity and united kids from all backgrounds whilst embracing many genres of music and styles and that is the idea behind this project.As we live in a multi cultural and diverse society ,I have tried to reflect that in the tunes that are on the compilation and carry on with the 2Tone message and continue on from where it left of and I hope to put out more release's in the future.All proceeds from the sale of the album will be donated to the Love Music Hate Racism organisation. Welcome to Walt Jabsco Recordings! Walt Jabsco Recordings is my personal vision of a record label based on my love of the great 2 Tone ,Studio1,Upsetter,Chanel 1,Trojan,Motown and Blue Note labels. My aim is to continue from where 2 Tone left off. Initialy it will be internet based but in the future I hope to develop the label and release vinyls and cd's by new and up coming artist.
At the moment it is my presonal choices of artists and tracks that in my humble opinion , should of,could of and might of been on the great 2-TONE label, as well as some rare 2 Tone related recordings from my collection .
I am interested in hearing from artists or bands who would like to be a part of the Walt Jabsco vision. I am particulary interested in hearing from artist or bands who play a mixture of any of these style: ska,reggae,dub,space age exotica, jazz, world, lounge,rocksteady,60's si-fi, soundtrack muzak,eastern flavas,balkan beat
